LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – In the wake of the shooting death of a second Minneapolis anti-ICE protester, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel promoted more protesting.

“Minnesota residents are standing up against this hostile takeover of their communities and showing the world what it looks like to stand in the face of power,” Nessel posted this weekend on social media. “I encourage everyone protesting in solidarity with them to continue to do so peacefully and lawfully.”

Instead, ICE agents in Minneapolis are being hunted, according to Vice President JD Vance.

Vance posted on social media that ICE agents were doxed and then trapped in a restaurant by a mob in Minneapolis. Vance said local police refused to respond to their pleas for help, by the direction of local authorities.

“Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid,” Vance stated.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), posted a photo of an ICE agent who had a part of his finger bitten off by a protester in Minneapolis.

“He will lose his finger,” McLaughlin stated on X.

In addition, DHS said a Minneapolis protester was arrested for throwing ice blocks at ICE agents.

“Arrested for throwing ice blocks at law enforcement in Minneapolis. Federal crime. Felony. You will be arrested,” DHS stated on X.

Former Republican State Rep. Rocky Raczkowski called out politicians who were propping up the violent protests in Minneapolis.

“A note to all political leaders across this nation, from a Vet who was involved in an extreme situation with potential violence – it’s your OBLIGATION to bring peace, follow the law and protect our people, not to side with incitement and violence to bring about a political agenda,” Raczkowski said on X.
