ROCHESTER, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Another elected official in Michigan refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Video shows Rochester Community Schools board member Barb Anness sitting during the Pledge at the beginning on Monday night’s meeting. One veteran addressed her actions, saying it made him “livid.”

In addition, Anness’ Facebook page contains posts that boast “Everyone is welcome here” and “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
Anness’ actions come after Michigan News Source reported that Clawson City Council member Heather Rinkevich also refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
