DEARBORN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A man who worked as an adjust instructor at Henry Ford College said President Donald Trump made a mistake killing Iran’s supreme leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei and added, “We’re going to learn it and teach it to our children and the grandchildren.”

Ali Akbar Shdid made those comments Feb. 28 in a Instagram post captured by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), a pro-Israel watchdog group that tracks comments made by Muslims around the country.

“We’re going to continue on the path of Sayyid Ali Khamenei. We’re going to hold his blood, his ideology. We’re going to learn it and teach it to our children and grandchildren,” Shdid said in a video.

The New York Post described Khamenei as a “tyrant” who “spent nearly 37 years as the Islamic Republic’s supreme leader, overseeing a murderous, oppressive regime with more than 30,000 state-sponsored executions under his watch.”

Rhonda DeLong, spokeswoman for Henry Ford College, stated that Shdid has been an adjunct instructor at Henry Ford College, but has not taught classes at the college since 2023.

Shdid didn’t respond to an email seeking comment.
