DEARBORN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A pro-Israel watchdog organization has spotlighted controversial, inflammatory comments from Islamic leaders coming out of the Dearborn area in the wake of the U.S. attack on Iran that killed its ruler Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MERMI) posted video this week on its website.

Dearborn-based journalist Zainab Rights called the U.S. and Israel “the most wicked executioners of our time.” Rights is the editor-in-chief of the Dearborn-based TMJ News Network. Rights called Khamenei “the most honorable Muslim leaders of our time.”

Muslim poet and lawyer Hassan Salamey stated that the Statue of Liberty is “Lucifer, the demonic bearer holding a torch of light.” Salamey also said that Americans live on “stolen land” that is controlled by “devil-worshiping Freemasons.” MEMRI stated the video was taken at a March 1 memorial service at the Hadi Institute. Hassan Salamey is the son of Sam Salamey, chief judge of the 19th District Court in Dearborn.

Mohammad Ali Elahi, iman of the Islamic House of Wisdom, said at a Feb. 28 event at the mosque, that the forces that killed Khamenei were “the most wretched hands on earth.”
