ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Michigan News Source) – East Lansing native, actor, and director Timothy Busfield’s legal challenges are growing.

Busfield will stand trial in May 2027 on four counts of criminal sexual contact of a child after accusations surfaced that he abused twin boys on the set of “The Cleaning Lady” when they were seven and eight years old. Now, at least four women have come forward and told police that Busfield groped them from 1993 to 2000.

The 68-year-old actor denied the charges.

The women came forward after Busfield’s arrest in January on the child sex abuse charges.  Six video interviews detail the women sharing their stories with an Albuquerque police detective in January.

In addition to Busfield’s East Lansing roots, he and wife, actress Melissa Gilbert, lived in Michigan from 2013 until 2018.
