SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The 2026 cruise ship season is officially underway in Sault Ste. Marie with even more visits expected than the 2025 season.
Last year, there were a total of 52 stops in the historic city. This year, 65 stops are scheduled with passengers from all over the world.

The first cruise ship, Victory I, kicked off the new season last Friday. The Victory I will also end the season on Oct. 22.
In between, several different cruise ships will dock at the Museum Ship Valley Camp site or the newly redeveloped Carbide Dock.
Cruise ship companies made Sault Ste. Marie an important destination to allow passengers to explore the “City where Michigan Was Born.”
