LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Officials have identified the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) workers killed after being hit by an SUV on northbound US-127 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as 51-year-old Bruce Wagner and 49-year-old Steve Spenle.

The driver of the SUV, a 24-year-old DeWitt man, is in the hospital in critical condition. The Michigan State Employees Association said in addition to the two workers killed, a third worker was treated and released at the scene.
