WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan State Police ticketed a Northern Michigan driver who troopers say was traveling 105 mph in a 75 mph zone while a four-year-old child slept in the backseat without a seatbelt.
Adding to the trouble, law enforcement officials say the driver did not have a valid license.
The incident happened along U.S. 31 in Wexford County. Michigan State Police cited the driver for speeding, driving without a license and a child restraint violation.
MSP is in the middle of its Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. Troopers are reminding motorists to obey posted speed limits and make sure all passengers are wearing seatbelts.
