SAGINAW, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Nine illegal aliens arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials in July have self-deported.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed the information to the media on Thursday. “On July 25, ICE arrested 9 illegal aliens in Saginaw Township, Michigan. All the illegal aliens arrested accepted voluntary departures and have been removed from the country.”
A traffic crash on July 7 led Zilwaukee police to identify the driver at fault as an illegal alien. Upon further investigation, officers found that 29-year-old Luis Jamie-Fortin did not have a driver’s license, identification, vehicle registration, or proof of insurance. That led to the arrest of eight other illegal aliens on July 25.
The 19-year-old victim whom Jamie-Fortin struck had her car totaled.
