LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Progressive Muslim Abdul El-Sayed is the winner of the Democratic U.S. Senate primary.
The results came in late Wednesday morning. According to the Associated Press, El-Sayed (48.5%) defeated Haley Stevens (47.5%) in a close race. The difference between them marked 14,893 votes.
El-Sayed will take on GOP candidate Mike Rogers on Nov. 3.
