SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – East Jordan Plastics hopes to bring workers back to its South Haven plant by the end of the week, despite a fire last Friday that left part of the building a total loss.

The blaze on Sept. 25 prompted a precautionary power shutdown in the area and the cancellation of South Haven High School’s homecoming parade and football game. Firefighters used two million gallons of water to fight the fire. No one was hurt, but thick black smoke could be seen for miles.
