CADILLAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The case surrounding the killing of pregnant 22-year- old Rebecca Park returned to a Wexford County courtroom Friday, with her fiancé taking the stand against Park’s biological mother and stepfather, Cortney and Bradly Bartholomew.

Richard Falor testified that Cortney Bradly picked up Park on Nov. 3, 2025. He never saw her alive again.

Falor also revealed an unusual connection to the case: before dating Park, he had been romantically involved with her mother, Cortney Bartholomew. Falor testified that Cortney had told him she wanted another child but could not have one.

Prosecutors introduced more than 90 exhibits, mostly text messages between Falor and Cortney following Park’s disappearance. Cortney allegedly told Falor that Park had left with another man in a black vehicle.

What the Case Is About

Park disappeared Nov. 3. Her body was discovered three weeks later in the Huron-Manistee National Forest. Prosecutors allege she was killed and her unborn baby was cut from her body. The infant has never been found.

Cortney and Bradly Bartholomew face charges including first-degree murder, felony murder and torture. They have pleaded not guilty.

Hearing Continues in November

Friday was only the beginning of a multi-day preliminary examination, where 84th District Court Judge Corey Wiggins will determine whether prosecutors have enough evidence to send the case to trial.

The hearing is scheduled to resume Nov. 9.
