WASHINGTON, D.C. (Michigan News Source) – Tofu is serving up more than you bargained for. A recall spanning 29 states, including Michigan, is underway because of possible chemical contamination.

A report from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says some pre-cooked tofu distributed by Hodo has been recalled because it could be contaminated with ink. The recall, which applies to more than 10,000 cases of Hodo’s Lightly Fried Chili Crisp Tofu, was initiated on Aug. 7. The affected products have use-by dates through November.
