MIO, Mich. (Michigan News Source) — An Amish-owned creamery in Mio is considered a total loss after a fire Saturday.
Officials with the Tri-Town Fire Department said the cause of the fire at the Farmer’s Creamery of Michigan remains under investigation. The Amish-owned and operated business opened in December 2018.

No major injuries were reported. Eyewitnesses said they believed the fire began in a mechanical room on the west side of the building. Crews from nine fire departments used 300,000 gallons of water to extinguish the blaze.
The department extended its condolences to the community over the loss and thanked residents and local businesses for donating food and water to responding agencies.
