LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Fast food giant McDonald’s is the latest company hit by a data breach.

Last week, unauthorized activity on its network exposed the personal data of some customers in South Korea and Taiwan.

The hack did not expose U.S. customer data or personal employee data.

McDonald representatives said the company quickly contained the hack, stopping exposure to customer payment information.

This news comes on the heels of other businesses being targeted by hackers in recent weeks, including meat producer JBS and the Colonial Pipeline. Both those incidents resulted in ransom payments.
