FLINT, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – The Genesee County Health Department is clarifying its mask mandate for pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students, which officials say will now extend beyond the classroom.
The department issued an update on Monday, saying the measure includes extracurricular activities and afterschool events.

Face masks are required for indoor athletic events along with school board meetings in Genesee County.
The order remains in effect until community transmission in Genesee County is categorized as “moderate” by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
