LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Pete Hoekstra, a former U.S. Representative for Michigan and retired  Ambassador to the Netherlands, said General Mark Milley’s actions “aren’t defensible in any way.”

Hoekstra, who served as chair of the House Intelligence Committee, spoke on The Steve Gruber Show on Thursday.

“[Milley undermined] the President of the United States,” Hoekstra said. “This guy did what he accused Donald Trump of maybe going to do. He’s got to go.”

General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, made calls to his Chinese counterpart as early as October 2020. He said he would give them advance notice if the U.S. planned on attacking China.

While President Joe Biden is standing behind Gen. Milley, others in Congress are accusing him violating the U.S. Constitution and breaking the chain of command.

Some leaders have called for Milley’s resignation and court martial.
