LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – The state of Michigan is ordering pediatric Covid-19 vaccine doses.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer says the state has ordered an upwards of 290,000 pediatric COVID-19 vaccine doses from Pfizer ahead of the government’s approval of the shots.

Whitmer says they are working to expedite the vaccinations of those between five and eleven-years-old.
Almost 69-percent of everyone 16 and older has had at least one shot, while nearly 67-percent of people 12 and older have had their first dose.
