DETROIT – (Great Lakes News) – Conservative businessman Kevin Rinke has officially announced his campaign for governor of Michigan.

According to a press release, Rinke is a former owner of the Rinke Automotive Group and a lifelong Michigander.

Rinke described Gretchen Whitmer as “a governor who acts like a monarch, not an elected leader.”

He joins a growing field of Republican challengers.
