LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – The Michigan House says tweeting while driving is a no-no.

Using a cell phone to post to social media, send emails, or film videos while driving would be banned in Michigan under bills passed by the state House on Tuesday.

The bills still allows for using GPS, selecting a phone number, making emergency calls and hands-free activities.

A first offense would bring a $100 fine or 16 hours of community service.

Texting while driving is already illegal in Michigan.
