GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Chicago Police Commander Eric Winstrom has been named the next police chief of Grand Rapids.

A Tuesday news release said City Manager Mark Washington selected Winstrom to replace Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Payne. He is retiring next month after 34 years of service with the department.
