LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – A ballot drive is pushing to change term limits in the Michigan Legislature.

The bipartisan coalition of political, business, and labor leaders want to shorten the limit to 12 years from 14, but let someone serve all 12 years in one chamber.

Currently, the limits are for three two-year terms in the state House and two four-year terms in the Senate.
