LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Members of Michigan’s redistricting panel rescinded a seven percent raise they gave themselves last month.

Commissioners voted last year to be paid close to $56,000 a year.

In February, the panel approved an increase to nearly $60,000 citing a cost-of-living adjustment.

In an about-face, the commissioners voted on Thursday to return their pay to just under $40,000.
