LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – More than 875,000 voters in Michigan have so far requested an absentee ballot for the August primary election.

Secretary of State spokeswoman Tracy Wimmer says the absentee numbers jumped in 2020, and that trend is continuing.

There were slightly more than 500,000 absentee ballot requests in the 2018 midterm primary election.
