LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – While most Michiganders will fire up the grill, head to the beach, or relax “Up North” this weekend, the five GOP gubernatorial candidates will take Saturday and Sunday to meet as many voters as they can before Tuesday’s primary election.
The candidates vying for the Republican nod to take on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in November are Tudor Dixon, Ryan Kelley, Ralph Rebandt, Kevin Rinke, and Garrett Soldano.

Tudor Dixon starts her weekend touting a fresh Michigan News Source and Trafalgar Group Poll which shows her with a sizeable lead going into the weekend. Friday morning, former President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that he is giving Dixon a “good, hard look” as he hinted at a possible endorsement of her campaign.

Ryan Kelley is celebrating his birthday Friday and said earlier in the week it is full steam ahead until election day. He said he’s planning to spend Sunday “in prayer” about the upcoming election. His campaign #cardboardryankelley is picking up steam.
On Friday, Ralph Rebandt will be a special guest at two events, including a “Prayers, Pasta, and Politics” event in Genesee County on Friday night.

Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, August 2 to whittle down the list of five candidates to one to take on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in November.
