DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The efforts by the federal government to recover $193,000 still owed by former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick have come up empty.
An online fundraiser started by Kilpatrick and his wife raised $115,000. Eleven donations included cash or checks.

In a court filing, the company said the account was closed and they don’t have the money.
