The 46-year-old Croft was also convicted of another explosives charge.
The verdict marks the end of a second trial after a jury in April could not reach a unanimous verdict. Two men were acquitted and two men pleaded guilty.
Defense attorneys accused the FBI of inciting the kidnapping plot, arguing it never would have come to fruition without agents infiltrating the group.
