SAULT SAINT MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The advocacy group “Yoopers for Ukraine” has hit the road for Washington D.C. to have their voices heard.

The group, which formed when Russia invaded Ukraine in February, has been holding events in the U.P. in support of Ukraine’s efforts. Now that public attention waning, they are joining others in Washington.

The group will meet with 16 Michigan Senators and Representatives this week to advocate for continued support of Ukrainian forces.

Additionally, a protest in support of Ukrainian children killed in the conflict will take place outside of the Russian Embassy in D.C.
