ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Changes may be coming to downtown Ann Arbor as a way to keep people safe.
Ann Arbor officials are thinking about banning right turns on red lights in the downtown area to improve pedestrian safety.

The city’s 2020 transportation plan notes that half of traffic crashes that involved the death or serious injury of a pedestrian or cyclist, happened when a driver failed to yield.
The change would not affect TheRide buses at intersections with frequent and multiple bus stops.
