DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – An 88-year-old Oakland County man received a pleasant surprise when he discovered a scratch off ticket he purchased was worth $300,000.

The unidentified man purchased a couple of Bingo Blockbuster tickets from a store in White Lake and won $50. He said he used that money to buy a few more and knew he had another winner but wasn’t sure how much it was worth.

He called the Lottery headquarters and discovered his six-figure winnings.

The man says he use some of the winnings to take a vacation to Northern Michigan. He plans to save the rest.
