BAY CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Bay City Public Safety Director Michael Cecchini was suspended for a heated exchange with three teenagers who were riding Bird Scooters on Saturday. Video of the incident has been released and Michigan State Police are investigating.
The footage shows Cecchini, wearing shorts and a T-shirt, approach the teen and seemingly jab him in his right side with a black flashlight. He repeatedly tells the teen, ages 18 and 19 to leave and they are disturbing the peace.

The teens taunt Cecchini and contend they were not doing anything wrong. After one teen calls Cecchini a name, he and the director stand face to face. They discuss calling the police, to which Cecchini encourages them to do so. He then shows them some form of identification and says he’s the chief of police.
