GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A Kent County teenager is back home after officials say a man took her from Michigan to North Carolina.

Kent County authorities are seeking charges against a 19-year-old New York man for allegedly taking the 13-year-old girl from the Grand Rapids area to Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Officials found the girl Monday after the Kent County Sheriff’s Office issued a missing persons advisory for her.

Both bought bus tickets from Grand Rapids and her family suspected the two were together.

Police arrested the 19-year-old in North Carolina.
