LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan students will soon see the addition of 30 police officers walking their halls who have completed training in the Teaching, Educating, and Mentoring (TEAM) School Liaison Program.
According to a press release from the state, TEAM is a school-based, law-related curriculum for K-12 students. The TEAM police officers are trained to equip kids with the skills to protect themselves from crime. In addition to traditional topics like personal safety, how to dial 911, and dating violence, the TEAM curriculum has been updated to address facility assessments, bullying and harassment, cyber-crime, social media use, illicit drugs, and vaping.

The TEAM class includes 30 officers from the following departments:
