GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Board of Trustees at Grand Valley State University is giving its approval to the university president with a contract extension.

Grand Valley State University president Philomena Mantella will stay on the job until at least June 2029.

The Board of Trustees unanimously extended her contract by five years. Mantella is the fifth GVSU president and took the job in 2019. She will earn $500,000 per year starting on July 1, 2024 after a 4.2% raise.
