DETROIT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Four goals in the third period propelled Detroit to a 7-4 victory over San Jose Sharks. Seven different players scored goals in the win. Moritz Seider gave Detroit the lead at 13:54, 5-4, and then Pius Suter, and Dominik Kubalk finished off the scoring for the three-goal win.

San Jose scored first in the first period with 6:56 on the clock. Filip Hornek tied it at one at 9:39 but the Sharks retook the lead, 2-1, at 12:52. San Jose held onto that lead to end the first period. David Perron tied the game up at two at the 11:27 mark on an assist from Dylan Larkin and Kubalik. Jake Walman put the Red Wings up, 3-2, at 16:44 on an assistant from Michael Rasmussen and Adam Erne. Detroit held onto that lead to finish out the second period, 3-2.

In a wild third period, Detroit went up by two goals, 4-2, on a Joe Velano goal just 4:58 into the period. San Jose scored the next two goals to tie the game at four as it looked the momentum was switching back to the Sharks. Two minutes after the tie, Detroit scored two goals in less than a minute and a half for a 6-4 lead. The final goal came with an open goal making it 7-4.

Ville Husso recorded 21 saves in the game.

Detroit finishes out their road trip going to Columbus on Nov. 19.
