LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan families who are eligible for food assistance benefits will receive at least an additional $95 monthly payment in December.

According to a press release from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s office, the extra funds help “lower the cost of groceries.” However, the additional assistance simply allows SNAP families more money to counter increasing prices of food.
