LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer is challenging Michigan’s K-12 students to come up with a creative design for the 2023 State of the State program cover.
The theme is “What makes Michigan strong?”

According to a press release from the governor’s office, students can use crayon, marker, paint or any other material.

Submissions must be received online no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 15. The winning student artist will receive a gift box from Cherry Republic.
Gov. Whitmer will deliver her 2023 State of the State address on Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m.
