DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – DTE Energy officials are admitting there are problems with the utility’s new outage map.

They say it still needs to be better calibrated to reflect current outages. The map has at times shown a lot more outages than DTE had reported. At other times, the map said power was restored when it actually had not been.

A DTE spokesman says they are working to minimize incorrect outage statuses and working to communicate with people differently.
