AG Nessel Requests Remaining Nassar Records from MSU Board

LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel formally renewed the request for all remaining documents regarding the department’s investigation of former disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar.

Roughly 6,000 documents previously requested by Nessel’s office are still being withheld by the university.

Nessel asked for the full and unredacted release of those remaining documents “to fulfill its stated pledge to continue cooperating with the investigation through its conclusion.”

According to the Attorney General’s Office, The Michigan State University (MSU) Board of Trustees is compromised of new members and leadership since the start of the year.
Nassar abused hundreds of women and girls for decades when he worked as a sports doctor at MSU and USA Gymnastics. He is serving a 60 year federal sentence for possessing child pornography and 175 years in state prison for molesting seven girls.
