EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan State University officials said they are creating a new resource to help students and community members impacted by the February 13 campus shooting which killed three and injured five.
The Office for Resource and Support Coordination will coordinate with other offices on campus to provide trauma-informed guidance and help coordinate response efforts to the tragedy, but they’ll also be the single point of contact for victims and victim families, according to one university official.
The office will be temporary, but there is no set end date. The university said it will be assessing the needs of resources as time goes on.
Although there is currently no sign-up yet, MSU will continue to build the new office’s network and obtain resources and support for the victims, their families and others who have been impacted.
