IRON COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Anyone planning to travel through the western part of the Upper Peninsula this summer should take note of dozens of detours, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
MDOT is investing nearly $3 million to repair three bridges located in Iron and Ontonagon counties.

The three bridges are located on U.S. 45 over the east branch of the Ontonagon River, M-64 over the Mineral River, and M-69 over the Paint River near Crystal Falls.
The projects are set to begin on May 15 and will likely be completed sometime in October, according to officials.
