CADILLAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – An 80 acre forest fire has been contained in Wexford County.

Michigan State Police (MSP) said the fire spread near US-131 off County Line Road on Sunday.

Multiple fire departments from Grand Traverse, Wexford, and Roscommon counties worked to contain the fire. DNR planes doused the flames with water from nearby Fife Lake.

MSP troopers temporarily evacuated the Chippewa Landing Campground, but the camp is now back open. The fire did not threaten any homes, according to MSP.
