DAVISON TOWNSHIP, Michigan (Michigan News Source) – Ahead of a Monday night board meeting with an agenda item addressing “Greyhound bus dropping off a full bus of transients, homeless, and otherwise unattached people to Davison Township Meijer once-a-week,” Greyhound told Michigan News Source the drop off is for “ticketed passengers.”

The agenda of Monday night’s Davison Township Board meeting sparked speculation on social media over the weekend, but Greyhound officials told Michigan News Source, “We are not aware of any activity in regard to illegal immigrants. Our current stop for Flint is the MDOT carpool lot at the Meijer, but that would be just for ticketed passengers.”

In addition, Greyhound officials said as of Wednesday, the current stop at the Davison Township Meijer will move to a different MDOT carpool lot. After Wednesday, Greyhound will no longer have a stop in Davison.

Michigan News Source reached out to Township Supervisor Jim Slezak for a comment but did not hear back by press time.

Michigan News Source will attend Monday’s meeting. In an updated agenda released, the meeting will be held at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 N. Gale Rd. in Davison. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m.
