LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Nine Michigan residents will be arraigned on Thursday for their alleged involvement in posing as “fake electors” after the 2020 election.
Attorney General Dana Nessel says those nine people are part of a group of 16 who coordinated the signing of documents which claimed they had the authority to declare the 2020 election for former President Donald Trump and give the state’s 16 elector votes to him. President Joe Biden won Michigan’s 16 electoral votes during that election.

Nessel says the intent of signing the documents stemmed from the claims that the 2020 election was fraudulent.
Six other states are also investigating claims of “fake electors.”
