LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – As Texas Gov. Greg Abbott continues to hold firm on securing the border there despite flippancy from the Biden administration, Michigan Rep. Angela Rigas (R-Caledonia) is imploring Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to support the southern state.
“As states begin to rally and support Texas in their struggle with the Biden Administration, Michigan can be a leader in protecting state’s rights,” Rigas said. “Joe Biden is allowing a political crisis to occur so he has more to bargain with in budget negotiations with the House.”

Twenty five states have pledged support to Texas through National Guard deployments and other supplies in an effort to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S.
Whitmer, who has lauded herself as “bipartisan” and “willing to work with anyone” has not been willing to publicly deviate from President Joe Biden or the Democratic party.
“If Whitmer wants to truly be bipartisan, then she needs to turn away from the Biden administration and protect Michiganders from the federal government,” stated Rigas.
Tension between federal and state units in Texas remains after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled last week that razor wire must be removed along the southern border. The move has angered many as the influx of illegal immigrants continue to deluge cities like New York and Chicago.
