WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Fifty-nine U.S. House Democrats joined Republicans in passing a bill that would deport illegal immigrants caught driving under the influence.

However, Michigan Representatives Haley Stevens, Shri Thanedar, and Rashida Tlaib were not part of those Democrats. Rep. Debbie Dingell did not vote.

The measure passed 274-150. One hundred fifty Democrats voted against it.

The bill would make people who were charged with a DUI and are in the U.S. illegally automatically eligible for deportation and permanently inadmissible.
