PONTIAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – After two days of jury selection, opening statements will get underway on Thursday in the involuntary manslaughter trial of James Crumbley.

The charges stem from the November 2021 Oxford High School shooting. Crumbley’s son killed four students and injured seven other people. Prosecutors allege Crumbley purchased the gun for his son and failed to get him mental health help. The shooter is serving a life sentence in prison.
