DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Detroit has assembled one of the best MLB teams for the first half of the season, compiling the most wins. As the All-Star Game approaches in July, Detroit has a chance to put several players on the roster, but it needs the fans’ help.

MLB fans can vote for their favorite players through June 26 on www.mlb.com/all-star/ballot . Currently, three players are in the top five for the starting position.

Gleyber Torres is the top vote-getter for second base. He has a .279 average with seven home runs and 38 RBI. In the outfield, Riley Greene is in second place, while Javier Baez is in fifth. Greene has 17 home runs, 59 RBI, and is batting .284, while Baez has a .290 average with nine home runs and 36 RBI.

Other Tigers on the list to vote for are Spencer Torkelson (1B), Trey Sweeney (SS), Dillon Dingler ( C ), and Kerry Carpenter (OF).

From June 30 to July 2, fans will be able to vote for starters, as the All-Star game will take place on Tuesday, July 15, at Truist Park in Atlanta, GA.
