DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Patrick Kane will be a Detroit Red Wing for another season as he signed a one-year, $3 million contract extension. The nine-time NHL All-Star played in 72 games last year and was one of the top leaders in offense with 21 goals, 38 assists, and 59 points, recording his 17th career 20-goal season.
He has put together a storied career, winning three Stanley Cup Championships with Chicago. He has 1,343 points in 1,302 NHL games and 138 points in 143 contests in the postseason.

Kane said on a social media post, “Jacked up to be back! Let’s go!”
The contract could be worth up to $4 million in bonuses as he gets $2.5 million for playing 10 games, $250,000 each for hitting 30 and 50 games, $500,000 for making the playoffs, and $250,000 for the first two playoff rounds won.
