TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Munson Medical Center in Traverse City provided an update on Wednesday involving the 11 victims of a stabbing at a Walmart store.

Medical treatment.

Nine of the 11 victims stabbed in a Traverse City Walmart more than one week ago have been treated and released from the hospital. Munson Medical Center added two patients were treated and transferred.

“We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary work demonstrated by our Munson Healthcare team,” the health care facility announced in a statement. “In the face of a sudden and traumatic event, our physicians, nurses, clinical experts and support staff responded with professionalism, compassion, and unwavering dedication to patient care. Their swift actions and tireless efforts made a critical difference in the lives of those affected.”

The statement also extended gratitude to the bystanders who stepped in the gap until police and EMS arrived.
“Your courage and compassion exemplify the strength of our community,” the statement read.

Legal representation.

One of the victims in the June 26 stabbing has retained legal counsel. Morgan & Morgan said its client was stabbed multiple times and has since undergone several surgeries. The law firm said the client is recovering at home, but demand[s] accountability for any potential negligence or lapses in security that might have contributed to this incident.”

The accused.

Meanwhile, the suspect, 42-year-old Bradford Gille, is expected back in court on Wednesday. He faces 11 charges of assault with intent to murder along with a charge of terrorism.

His family says they have sought mental health help for Gille for decades.
